Words shared in loving memory - from members and friends of our Toastmasters community (to add your words of remembrance on this page here, please email -> districtdirector@district36.org - You can read more details about the service here: Service Details):
"Fritzie had a tremendous sense of joie de vivre, and a boundless enthusiasm for how Toastmasters can teach skills, foster leadership, and have fun together. Fritzie knew all the back-office details and was a go-to person in her clubs and the wider District 36 for explaining where to look on the club’s website or on Toastmasters International, for answers."
"As Club President, Fritzie shared her excitement at every meeting as if it was going to be the best meeting ever. And with Fritzie in the room, each meeting was indeed fantastic. She brought her enthusiasm for tech to many a “Tech Minute” to at ET club meetings."
"Fritzie was a kind and inspiring person who always lifted others up. I joined Toastmasters because of her motivation and positive energy, I pray that her family is given patience and strength during this difficult time. She will be deeply missed"
""Fritzie was a loving person, and in my short time knowing her, I came to love her vibrant personality and dedication to Toastmasters. Though we only met last year, she always made me feel welcomed and I honestly would not have joined Toastmasters and met so many wonderful people if it weren't for her. May she rest in peace and her family get through this difficult time."
"Fritzie was such an amazing mentor and gift to all who knew her! I will remember her joy, her wisdom and her support for Toastmasters finding their way in new roles. Though we say goodbye, her spirit remains strong within me and her smile will continue to shine like a star in the sky!"
"Fritzie loved speaking, too but she never forgot to applaud when someone had concluded speaking, whether in ZOOM or face-to-face environments. Her capacity to love was extraordinary and suffused through her interactions with others, particularly those of us whom she mentored. Fritzie led by her competence, spirit, and kindness."
"Fritzie was such an incredible TM, friend, parent, wife. She radiated love and caring, with a tremendous curiosity and drive to excel."
"She was an incredible woman, blessed with talent and endless goodness in her heart. I’ll miss her."
"I so admired her energy, optimism, and utter devotion to TM and the club. She was beyond generous with her warmth, love, and kindness."
"Fritzie embodied true mentorship through two simple, powerful gifts: Radiance and Inclusion."
"Fritzie believed that the mission of Toastmasters to improve public speaking and leadership skills would help make the world a better place, and for those of us near to her, Fritzie excelled in those skills and we shared her dream."
"Fritzie’s respect for the etiquette and philosophy of Toastmasters was unsurpassed. She embodied the ethos of Toastmasters, especially in how she mentored many new members. Fritzie also embodied true strength in that she was extremely modest. I only found out about her award as Toastmaster of the Year from someone in passing as she had never said it to me. Fritzie believed in constant improvement and viewed her own self through that lens."
"To know Fritzie was to love her—her warmth, her enthusiasm, her deep institutional knowledge, and her sharp mind and fascination to always be learning."
"Fritzie Leroy, Distinguished Toastmaster and Beloved Family Member and Steadfast Friend and Beloved of so many of us. May she rest in peace."
"Fritzie was such an amazing mentor and gift to all who knew her! I will remember her joy, her wisdom and her support for Toastmasters finding their way in new roles. Though we say goodbye, her spirit remains strong within me and her smile will continue to shine like a star in the sky!"
"Fritzie was a truly supportive and genuine person, and her warmth was felt throughout our Toastmasters community. I loved that she always greeted me with a warm smile and a big hug whenever I saw her. She will be greatly missed."
"Fritzie was one of those people you remember because of how they made you feel. I remember Fritzie for her warmth, humor, energy, and that amazing voice. Her voice still rings clearly for me.
"Fritzie was a Toastmasters superstar. I worked with Fritzie on several district conferences for about two hundred attendees, where she led a large committee of volunteers, worked with hotels, organizing the scripts, and much more. She gave much of her personal time and expertise. As District 36 Director, I named Fritzie the Toastmaster of the Year for 2015-16. Number one out of about four thousand Toastmasters! Fritzie was a huge part of the District’s success. And thanks to Fritzie for her work with many clubs and bringing in other LeRoys to Toastmasters! I will never forget Fritzie’s smile and voice. A fantastic person. You are missed."
"Heartfelt condolences to the Leroy family for the loss of beloved Fritzie. May she rest in power.. Respect"
"Fritzie's warmth, kindness, and loving spirit will always be remembered. Not sure if they have a "Toastmasters' Heavenly Chapter." If they do - I know Fritzie will be warmly embraced and welcomed. If they don't have a "Heavenly Toastmasters Chapter" - Fritzie will start one!"
